NpowerNG Testimony that'll inspire you how to invest N30,000

This Npower testimony was actually shared by Nigeria's Vice President Yemi Osinbajo sometimes in April, which he titled,"Nigerians are some of the smartest people on the face of the earth"

Being smart varies, but Prof. Yemi looks at Nigeria's smartness on how some Npower volunteers are investing their monthly stipend of #30,000.

The acting president shares stories of two hard-working Npower volunteers in the north.

You may want to ask : How did the acting president come to have first hand info about performance of the scheme in the  country.

But don't also forget that his office oversees the npower programme which is under the FG's Social Investment Programme, SIP.

Suleiman Ibrahim
One of the corps in the north is Suleiman Ibrahim, a graduate of Public Administration.

According to the story shared by Osinbajo, Suleiman had been unemployed for 7 years before the Npowe programme was launched, he applied and he made the first batch list of 200,000 volunteers.

Today, he's intor Rice/Cassava farming,  on a land he leased. He achieved this by saving two months of his N-power stipends.


Related to Suleiman's story is another npower volunteer, Ahmed. He graduated 5 years ago and is now an Agropreneur in Fishery and Oil Palm.

He isn't stoping at that, "he is providing Agro mentorship to his community in Wukari Local Government, Taraba State."

Note that Prof. Yemi Osinbajo didnt just want to tell us his experience in the his North journey, but he's interested in the sharing the moral lessons from the hard work of those young Nigerian guys, who are able to make something out of the so called stipend.

According to him:
1. The NPower programme is primarily for everyone to learn and improve their skill set so they can impact their communities positively.

2. Don’t spend all of your stipend. Yes we know, it may be tough but invest a portion.
